542 Members of East Jakarta FKDM Actively Help Containing COVID-19

At least 542 members of East Jakarta Early Awareness Society Forum (FKDM) continue to increase their role in helping the Jakarta Provincial Government to fight COVID-19.

According to Dwi Sugiarto, Chairman of East Jakarta FKDM, every day he sent his members to urban village, sub-district and city areas to actively participate with other related circles to socialize the health protocol and PSBB monitoring in public.

"To control PSBB violators, it is the domain of Satpol PP. We do assistance and provide information if there are findings where a crowd is prone to causing new clusters of COVID-19," he explained, Tuesday (1/26).

To run the duties as a partner of the government, his party was always coordinating and communicating with existing stakeholders, including while collecting information from the community, his party made a coordination with RT/RW caretakers, public figures and local religious figures.

He went on to say that this participation was also manifested by being active as chairman or members of the COVID-19 Task Force in Pekayon, Kalisari, Duren Sawit and Matraman sub-districts.

"Thus far at least 30 members also serve as members or chairman at the urban village level. They are always active in educating the public about the importance of complying with the health program, including spraying disinfectants," he told.

In carrying out tasks in the field, his party often got false or hoax information. Thereby, to get valid information, his members always conduct a crosscheck before reporting to the related authorities.

"There are 531 members at the urban village and sub-district level, and 11 at the city level who are always monitoring the development of COVID cases in the community," he stated.
